Marion County, west of Chattanooga on I-24
Marion County sits about forty minutes west of my yard in Hixson, straight out I-24 once you clear the Tennessee River gorge. I’ve been running Elite Moving trucks into Jasper, South Pittsburg, Whitwell and up the Monteagle grade since we opened in 2011, and the county is one of my favorite work zones — small towns, real porches, and people who notice when a crew shows up on time.
The seat and the river towns
The county seat is Jasper, with its little courthouse square. From there the work spreads out:
- Jasper — courthouse square cottages and newer subdivisions toward US-41
- South Pittsburg — Victorian-era homes along the Tennessee River, narrow streets, mature hardwoods
- Whitwell — Sequatchie Valley ranch homes and farm properties up TN-28
- Monteagle — mountain-top cabins and university-adjacent houses near the Sewanee plateau
Why my Hixson crew is the right call here
I hold a Tennessee household-goods movers license and the US DOT plus MC authority for the interstate runs, so a Marion County job stays on one Elite Moving truck from front porch to front porch. We carry our own cargo insurance, and the flat rate is in writing before we load — no "Monteagle surcharge" sprung on you at the bottom of the hill.
If you want a walk-through, I’ll come out to Jasper or South Pittsburg myself. Start with a free quote, pick the tier on long-distance moves, or compare neighbors via the service-areas hub.
