One Hixson flat figure on paper, zero hourly meter — takes about a minute to send.

Whatever you send only gets used to put a price on the move — never sold, never spammed.

The questions we get every week

These are the things Lacey and Brett hear on the phone most days. If yours isn’t here, just call our Hixson office or ask for a written quote and we’ll walk through it.

About the company, the price, and the paperwork

Most of what people want to confirm comes down to three things — are we real, is the price real, and does the insurance hold. Short answer: yes, yes, and yes. The longer version is below.

About the kinds of moves we run in Greater Chattanooga

We’re built for North Chattanooga and the Tennessee River basin — lake homes, ranch houses, mountain switchbacks. Ask about your specific street; chances are Hayden’s already worked it.

Are you a moving company?
Yes — Elite Moving is a fully licensed and insured Hixson, TN moving company running our own trucks and uniformed crew, with a Tennessee household-goods movers license and US DOT and MC authority.
How does your flat-rate pricing actually work?
Lacey walks the inventory with you over the phone or video, then sends a binding flat rate in writing before the truck rolls. If you don't add boxes after the quote, the number on move day is the same number on the invoice. Hourly is also available at $125/hr for two movers plus truck or $175/hr for three plus truck, with a one-hour minimum.
What areas around Chattanooga do you actually cover?
Hixson is home base, and we run jobs every week across Hamilton County — Soddy-Daisy, Lakesite, Red Bank, North Chattanooga, Signal Mountain, Walden, East Brainerd, Ooltewah — plus the Georgia-line towns like Ringgold and Fort Oglethorpe. See the full list on our service areas page.
Do I have to put down a deposit?
For local moves, no deposit — we lock the date on a signed quote and collect on move day. For long-distance interstate jobs we ask for a small deposit to reserve the truck and the drive crew, and it's credited against the final invoice.
What insurance and valuation coverage comes with the move?
Released value of $0.60 per pound is included at no charge as required by federal regs, and we offer full-value protection as a paid upgrade. We carry our own cargo coverage of up to $1,000,000 per shipment plus general liability, and we'll send the COI to your HOA or condo board before move day.
Can you pack everything, or just heavy stuff?
Either. Most folks book partial packing — kitchen, closets, the garage — and we handle the breakables while you handle the books. Full-pack is one or two days ahead of load day, all materials included in the flat rate.
Can you handle a Signal Mountain or Walden switchback move?
Yes, that's Hayden's wheelhouse. We run weight-rated trucks up the mountain roads, watch the winter ice calendar with Brett on dispatch, and shuttle to a smaller truck at the bottom when a driveway is too tight to back a 26-footer up.
What about lakefront homes on Chickamauga — boat-house transfers, dock stairs?
We do those most weeks out of Lakesite and Soddy-Daisy. We carry extra runners and stair-climbing straps, coordinate boat-house transfers when furniture is staged off a dock, and lay heavy floor protection against red Tennessee clay before we step inside.
Do you actually drive your own long-distance moves?
Yes. Same crew loads and unloads on every route we run — Nashville, Knoxville, Atlanta, Birmingham, Asheville, Charlotte, Huntsville, Memphis, Louisville, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Cincinnati. Nothing gets handed off to a stranger at a warehouse in the middle.
How far ahead should I book during the busy season?
April through August fills up fastest, especially Friday and Saturday slots. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable; for end-of-month dates closer to four. Off-season — November through February — we can usually pick up a job inside a week.
How it works

How a Hixson move with our crew comes together

1

Send both TN ZIPs and a target date

The address you are leaving, the one you are landing in, and the home size — under a minute, nothing owed.

2

Read one flat Hixson figure in writing

A single locked number lands back — zero hourly clock ticking on the crew while they work the driveway and the door.

3

Our uniformed Hixson crew rolls in

W-2 movers in our own trucks arrive on schedule and run the whole job from the first padded blanket to the last placed box.

Move Coming Up? Hand It To Our Hixson Crew.

A written flat figure lands back fast, very often inside one business hour on weekdays. Zero curbside surprises, zero fine-print add-ons that hit on move day.
