I’m Trent Holloway, and I started Elite Moving in Hixson in 2011
I grew up in North Chattanooga, the kind of kid who knew every cut-through between Hixson Pike and the river before he could drive. After high school I spent about a decade running warehouse floors and freight logistics around Hamilton County, most of that out by the Volkswagen Chattanooga plant corridor — loading docks, line-haul scheduling, claims paperwork, the boring stuff that teaches you how shipments actually break.
What I kept seeing in moving, on the side, was the opposite of how freight worked. Customers got a phone estimate, then a different number on move day, then a third number on the invoice. So in 2011 I bought one truck, hired two guys I’d known since middle school, and put one rule on the wall: the flat price goes in writing before the truck rolls. That rule is still on the wall.

Fifteen years in, we run our own trucks out of a yard off TN-153, and the crew is 17 people on W-2 — no day labor, no subcontracted strangers in your living room. We hold a Tennessee household-goods movers license plus US DOT and MC authority for the interstate runs, and we carry our own cargo and liability insurance.
