What our moving cost calculator does
The calculator on this page gives you a quick estimate based on home size, distance, and access — the same three levers Lacey uses on the phone. Think of it as a ballpark, not a contract. The actual binding number comes from our office in writing after we walk the inventory with you.
What the estimate is based on
- Home size — studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, three-bedroom, four-bedroom-plus. The biggest single driver of crew size and truck time.
- Distance — local across Greater Chattanooga vs. long-distance over I-75 or I-24.
- Access — stairs, elevator wait, long Hixson Pike driveways, Signal Mountain switchbacks, Chickamauga Lake dock-stair jobs.
What it does not include yet
- Specialty items — piano, gun safe, pool table, treadmill — those get priced once we see photos.
- Full-service packing add-ons, which are billed by room or by the full house.
- Storage if you need it between load and delivery (we offer short-term palletized storage by the week).
- Full-value protection upgrade above the federal released-value $0.60/lb baseline.
